During my visits to Brazil, I'd like to teach photography to poor children, as a new profession perspective for them. I am a Brazilian photographer, living in USA. As I come from a very poor part of Brazil, I know most of the kids have very low expectations about getting a good job when the are 18 or older. In fact, most of them start working a lot earlier, but on very tough jobs and making just enough money to buy some food. So, as I am going to visit Brazil soon, I'd like to spend some time teaching a selected group of underprivileged children how to take pictures, and that way, opening some doors to have a specialized profession and so, a better job in the future. it's amazing to see the impact that photography has had on underprivileged children. The journey of Aarohan, an NGO providing free education to underprivileged children in the Indian capital New Delhi, started way back in 2005. Since then, with the help of various individuals and organisations, Aarohan has been able to transform the lives of thousands of children, who would have otherwise become victims of child labour. MIGTV visited the NGO to capture the stories of these children. One such success story is that of Bhawna, whose life was changed by Aarohan when she joined as a student, and now she teaches in the same institution to change the lives of others.
